The former personal attorney for Donald Trump has resigned as New Jersey's top federal prosecutor. This follows a legal ruling that invalidated her right to hold the office.

The head of the Justice Department, Pam Bondi, announced her stepping down on the start of the week. She commented that the judicial decision made it unworkable for her to effectively run her office.
"Do not interpret following the order as giving up," she declared. "The effort will now extend throughout the nation."
