They have faced the easiest slate across the NFL, and there have still been cracks. Their quarterback has been sacked 35 times – among the highest totals – with several hits he absorbed on Sunday proved brutal. With continued play, those hits add up.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos hold eight wins similarly, and it still feels as if they’re holding their breath. Bo Nix has been erratic, and the offensive unit laboring, with the defense doing all the heavy lifting. Lacking competent QB performance, the Broncos won't frighten anyone in the postseason. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that Baltimore has closed to within one game of Pittsburgh, but how rapidly this occurred represents criticism toward the Steelers' uneven performances. That the Ravens started with a 1-5 record and currently seem capable of division victory reveals much about the conference as a whole.

The Ravens represent a segment within a trio of powerhouses – joined by Buffalo and Kansas City – fueled by former MVP signal-callers, who would still strike the greatest concern in opposing teams if they made the playoffs. They're the teams everyone hopes to avoid, but the Chiefs and Bills cannot get out of their own way.
